How we work
We don’t believe in prescribing when, where, or how people should work. We focus on giving you flexibility, choice, and the breathing room to do your best work.
Depending on the role, this might mean fully remote working, a blend of home and office days, or being on-site full-time at our pharmacy.
Your manager will guide you through what applies to your position so you know exactly what to expect, without losing the flexibility that helps you balance work with real life.

ZAVA locales
ZAVA is currently operating in the UK, Ireland, Spain, France and Germany.
We have two pharmacies: London and Milton Keynes, and commercial offices in Dublin and London.
Our London office is based in the Farringdon area and offers a flexible, dog-friendly, welcoming workspace.
Inside the London office you’ll find plenty of meeting booths, breakout spaces, a cafe, free facilities, casual seating areas for relaxed working, and two roof terraces. For those cycling to work, there’s secure bike storage and showers with all the essentials.

✨ My role is all about helping bring great people into the business and building teams that make a real impact. Even though I’m not supporting patients directly, the work I do helps shape the teams behind the technology, patient care, compliance, and safety across ZAVA. What motivates me most is knowing that every thoughtful hire contributes to improving the patient experience. The people we bring into the business genuinely make a difference.
🚀 What’s your day-to-day like? Fast-paced, collaborative and never boring! No two days are the same. One day, I might be partnering with hiring managers, supporting interviews and working on recruitment strategy, while the next, I’m helping improve candidate experience or working on projects focused on attracting amazing talent to ZAVA. We’re growing and evolving all the time, there’s always something new happening, which keeps the role really exciting.🤝 What’s the best part about working at ZAVA? Definitely the people. Everyone genuinely cares about patients, about their work and about each other. There’s a really strong culture of collaboration and trust where people are encouraged to share ideas, contribute and take ownership.

Amelie - Patient Care Team Manager
So, what does a Patient Care Team Manager at ZAVA actually do?
✨ My role is all about managing a team of Patient Care Advisors across the UK, France and Spain, making sure we’re supporting patients throughout their treatment journey and helping them feel informed, safe and cared for. Our team makes a meaningful difference by supporting patients both before and after their order. We also play an important role in sharing patient insights with other teams across the business to help improve processes and enhance the overall patient experience.
🚀 What’s your day-to-day like? Collaborative, fast-paced and people-focused. Managing the team is incredibly important because it has a direct impact on the patient experience. Every day involves supporting the team, solving problems together and making sure we continue delivering the best possible care to patients.
🤝 What’s the best part about working at ZAVA? Definitely the people I work with every day. Our team is collaborative, hardworking and driven by a shared commitment to improving patient care while supporting one another. Even though we work across different countries and locales, there’s still a strong sense of teamwork and connection across the business.
💡 What makes ZAVA different? I think people would be surprised by how much we do in-house and by how many long-standing team members have supported ZAVA through different stages of growth and are still here today or even return to the business later on. Our “boomerang club” is a great example of the strong connection people feel to ZAVA and the culture we’ve built together.

Tasha - Junior People Advisor
So, how did your ZAVA journey begin?
🌱 I actually started out in the Patient Care Team before making the move into HR and joining the People Team as a Junior People Advisor. I’d always been curious about HR, so I started reaching out to people across the business, asking questions and getting involved wherever I could. What surprised me most was how supportive everyone was from the start. Instead of feeling like “that’s not my department,” people genuinely wanted to help me learn and grow. Eventually, I was offered the chance to do a secondment in the People Team and now here I am!
✨ What’s your day-to-day like? Honestly, every day is different, which keeps things fun. One day I might be supporting managers and helping teams work through challenges and the next I’m delivering training sessions, working on wellbeing initiatives, or helping roll out new people projects across the business. There’s always something going on and I love that no two weeks ever feel the same.
🤝 What’s the best part about working at ZAVA? Definitely the people. Everyone is so approachable, supportive and welcoming, no matter their role. It never feels overly formal or hierarchical. People genuinely collaborate, share ideas openly and celebrate each other’s wins. Even though we’re remote-first, there’s still a really strong team feel, which I think surprises a lot of people.
💡 What makes ZAVA different? The trust and flexibility. People here are trusted to get on with their work and bring ideas to the table. There’s a real focus on outcomes rather than micromanagement, which creates such a positive working environment and when it comes to development, ZAVA really invests in people. Whether it’s training budgets, secondments or simply having managers who encourage you to try something new, there are loads of opportunities to grow.
